A small group meets on the first and third Thursday of the month at 2.30 pm at a member’s home in Pembury.  The group follows  a text book called ‘Contatti’  and spends the session working through a chapter. The emphasis is on conversation although grammar creeps in.

Individuals bring a variety of experiences. Some have lived or worked in Italy or regularly visit giving an authentic contribution to the modern idiom.

There is often conversation about many aspects of the culture of Italy which turns the group more towards one of  Italian Appreciation.

The level of knowledge varies from rusty fluent to basic conversation. There is an opportunity to listen to Italian spoken fluently with a CD attached to the text book.
