Our aim is to encourage people to join our very friendly walking group. This is not a route march but an amble through our beautiful countryside. We finish our walk in time for a lunch in either a pub or a cafe.

On 15 July, members of the Amble group took the train to Folkestone. After walking down to the harbour some of the group went to visit the Road of Remembrance which commemorates all those who passed through Folkestone on their way to the Western Front. Others enjoyed a leisurely lunch in a converted chapel. It was a very enjoyable day out and, inspite of yellow warnings of rain, we all kept dry.
