Our main holiday will be from 26th May -2nd June 2025 and we are planning to go to the historic town of Harrogate, which is in North Yorkshire, east of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are stunning Victorian Royal Baths, which is a grade II listed building and is home to the internationally famous Turkish Baths and Spa. With its extraordinary Moorish interiors, it offers a program of treatments and therapies that will give a new understanding of relaxation.
You can enjoy a slower pace of exploration as you browse the delightful cobbled Heritage Montpellier Quarter which houses art galleries, antique and vintage shops, jewellers, boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars – such is the range of things to do in Harrogate.
Harrogate theatres offer comedy, drama and music across the venues, from the magnificent Royal Hall to the more relaxed and intimate Studio Theatre, and hosting big name touring shows and the best of local talent including their own acclaimed productions.
Harrogate’s parks and gardens are an intrinsic part of its charm, and the award-winning Valley Gardens will offer a happy hour of exploration for anyone with an interest in horticulture. They also lead down into RHS Harlow Carr Gardens which also has a branch of the famous “Betty’s” café.

Monday 26th Leave Pembury starting at Stonecourt Lane at 8.30
Stop at Stamford This stop is for lunch. Leaving at 3pm for Harrogate
Tour of the Yorkshire Dales, Pateley Bridge, Grassington to Hawes and the Dales Countryside Museum. Cheese Experience at Wensleydale Creamery. A visit to the beautiful Aysgarth Falls. a visit to the Black Sheep Brewery at Masham.
Skipton
One hour trip on the canal includes coffee and biscuits. Then a visit to Skipton Castle for a group tour with guide.
Visit to York and the Jorvik Centre in the morning. Then free to explore York.
North Yorkshire Moors Train from Pickering to Whitby stopping at Goathland, home of Heartbeat for 1 hour. Then the next train onto Whitby and time to explore for a couple of hours. Coach to meet us there. Bringing us back to the hotel via Thirsk.
Saturday will be the Drivers Day off. Loads to explore in Harrogate plus an excellent bus service to nearby towns.
Visit to Ripon Cathedral including a free group tour. Then onto the Three Museums with a guided tour for each one. The three museums are Workhouse Museum, Prison and Police Museum and Courthouse Museum.
Monday 2nd June Travelling home with a visit to Burghley House including a lunch stop, before returning to Pembury in the afternoon, normally around 4.30pm
